In the coming days, weeks and months you will be learning alot about me. You will be given the pleasure of hearing my deepest expressions as I search out the person Jesus has made me to be–in my physical body, soul, and my spirit. Beauty is a very real thing and it exists in the person of Jesus Christ. He has been showing me for years that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am on a journey that is leading me into a destiny that is made for me. I hope that through the writings of a struggling teenage girl you would be encouraged to start your own journey into the heart of God. I have no idea what this is going to look like, but I figured I should share my journey with you in case you find that my story is just what you needed to shed some light into your situation. 

My first post will be about my physical journey of loosing weight and being a good steward of the body that God gave me.

Part of the journey I’m begining is learning to be  more of a “bottom line” person. So here is the bottom line: I am a 16 year old female who is 5’11 and weighs 231 lbs. That, my friends, is rediculous. I am a perfectly healthy girl. I love life and have had nothing short of an awesome upbringing at home. I’ve known the Lord since I was old enough to know anything, and here I am turning to food mindlessly and constantly. I have a problem.

I am trying to seek the Lord in reference to what exactly I’m to do about this problem. I’ve tried diets, but my food habits are so hard to break. I joined a gym last week and am excited about getting into a regular workout routine. God is going to help me figure out how to conquer this in my life. Next Monday I’ll be weighing in again with you. I lost 4 lbs last week by cutting my calorie intake, but I cheated alot and totally went off on the weekend.
